Perched gracefully on the shores of Lake Maggiore, this magnificent villa appears as if it has stepped straight out of a bygone era. Built into the hillside, it offers stunning panoramic views of the shimmering lake and the enchanting Brissago Islands. The villa is divided into two spacious apartments, each occupying its own floor, providing the option to rent either individually or the entire property. This makes the villa perfect for a getaway for lovebirds or group vacations for up to 11 people. The interior is consistently simple and does not make any grand design or luxury claims. However, true vintage treasures can be found, and the unique sleeping arrangement with the elevated bed and lake view makes the studio especially cozy.
Surrounding the villa, you'll discover a variety of charming nooks and secluded corners, which create the perfect setting for leisurely afternoons or serene morning coffee with a view. Especially the charming lake access is unique! During our stay, we rented a boat, which allowed us to manage our shopping in Ascona and excursions by water.
The villa is unsuitable for children under 5 years old and for individuals with mobility impairments, as it is only accessible via steep stone stairs. The villa is easily reachable by car, as the road is located above the house, which means it’s not always completely quiet.

With a private boat to Ascona (10min): Ascona is the nearest larger town and definitely worth a visit. We rented a small boat from Werni (Boat Rental Ascona) for our entire stay, allowing us to travel by boat for shopping or restaurant visits.

Isole di Brissago (20min): The Brissago Islands offer a botanical tour around the world and a restaurant. They can be visited daily and are accessible by boat from Ascona in 20 minutes. We went there with our own boat.

Casa Moscia (2min): Within walking distance of the villa is the Christian-influenced Casa Moscia. Although we are not particularly religious, we greatly appreciated being able to get fresh bread every morning. Additionally, during the off-season, we were allowed to use their canoes and SUPs.
